Fusion Lifestyle (“Fusion”), which operates a network of leisure centres across England, entered Administration on 1 April 2026 following a prolonged period of financial difficulty. Nadeem Sweiss and Adam Stephens of S&W Partners LLP (“S&W”) were appointed as Joint Administrators.
Recognising the vital role leisure centres play in supporting community health and wellbeing, Fusion’s management, alongside S&W, have collaborated closely with local authorities to explore viable options for keeping facilities open. To avoid disruption to the public, many of the local authorities have agreed to a transition period, supporting the Charity in Administration while a new operator is secured to manage the leisure centres, ensuring key services remain open to the local community.
Most leisure centres will continue to operate, and customers and creditors are encouraged to check their local leisure centre’s website and social media channels for the latest updates. A link to FAQs can be found below.
Unfortunately, following careful consideration and consultation with the City of London the leisure centre situated at Golden Lane Sports and Fitness Centre will be closing on 30 April 2026. If you will be affected by the closure, please contact the City of London for further information.
